
Resident Technology Agent (RTA) Operations Lead

Job Description
The Wreck Techs is a team of 25+ active students that assist residential students, faculty, and staff throughout the year with technical and customer service needs, focusing on wired and wireless Internet issues and device management in campus residential environments. They assist customers via email, phone, live chat, and in walk-up locations in the West Village Dining Commons, along with in room field support.
Responsibilities
- Lead Specific Duties:
– Will be a direct assistant to the WreckTechs manager.
– Will handle scheduling for the WreckTech team (25+ members)
– Will organize meetings and take notes.
– Will schedule field work for the WreckTech team.
– Will lead hiring and onboarding effort (in 2026) for the WreckTechs team.
– Will attend weekly meetings and evaluate incidents & requests.
– Will not be on call, but will be expected to check Teams during non scheduled hours. - RTA Duties:
– Provide support for accounts, internet enabled devices, software, malware, residential A/V, in office and other campus locations.
– Repair ethernet cabling inside of residential rooms.
– Work on various projects alongside campus network, AV, and device management groups.
– Develop problem-solving skills and enhance your customer service ability in a diverse tech environment.
– May lift and handle network equipment (up to 50 pounds), which may require using a ladder
Qualifications
- Exceptionally organized with good attention to detail
Knowledge of Microsoft office platform tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Shifts, Forms, Lists, etc) - Some networking knowledge/background (certifications such as A+, N+, Sec+, or CCNA a plus, but not mandatory)
- Strong work ethic
- Available to work for summer/Fall 2025 (mandatory)
