
UX Researcher / Designer – Summer 2025
Remote, Full-time Position
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) at Georgia Tech is seeking student UX researchers and designers to join our Web Development & Support team this Fall.
Job Description
Students will work with internal teams to research, design, and prototype compelling experiences across various digital properties.
Responsibilities
There are projects within OIT’s portfolio that require UX research and/or design. You’ll be assigned to a project based on your interests and the project requirements. If you have an interest in the technical side, we’ll have opportunities in that regard as well (e.g. Drupal, WordPress, JS, HTML, CSS). Likewise, if you’re interested in project management and client engagement, we’ll have opportunities there too.
UX Responsibilities
- Convert concepts and requirements into user-friendly, intuitive solutions employing methods such as sketches, wireframes, or prototypes.
- Provide UX recommendations by gathering and/or interpreting business and product requirements, researching, conducting user testing, and iterating and/or building novel use cases and user stories.

Qualifications
- Well versed in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or User Center Design principles.
- Familiarity with User Research Methods
- Experience building websites in Drupal, WordPress or other CMS/publishing platform
- Project management and team collaboration, as well as the ability to work independently
- Receptive to critical feedback from clients
- Strong desire to learn new skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Highly motivated individual
- Independent problem-solving mindset
- Accountable for assigned tasks
- Highly detailed documentation and process skills
- Ability to follow previously established guidelines to provide high-quality results

General Work Protocol
- Most work is remote. You’ll have the opportunity to work at our facilities in CODA.
- Daily Standups over Teams
- Weekly check-ins with your manager
- Weekly Design Showcase (Critique) – a round-robin meeting where you’ll showcase your work to solicit and provide feedback with your peers.
